Martina Mehta

Martina was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and currently lives in Florida. Martina is a self-taught Vocalist who has been singing ever since she can remember. She grew up listening to her mother sing to various artist such as Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Elvis, and Dolly Parton just to name a few. When she was a little girl her and her mother would go and do Karaoke together. This is one of Martinašs fondest memories. Unfortunately Martinašs mother passed away when she was 12 years old and she grew up without a Father. Before her mother passed away Martina wrote her first song title "Carolyn" in memory of her mom, which she hopes to add to her first album.

Martina was a Musical Theatre Major at the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has had the enjoyment of performing in Musicals such as "A Little Night Music", "Fame", and "Bigger Isnšt Always Better." Martina is the lead singer for "That Band", a pop/rock four-piece powerhouse, "Ovation", a high-energy corporate act and the lead female singer for Tony Wilson's James Brown Tribute Band. Martina has performed at the Ritz Carlton, The Floridian, Boca Hotel Beach Resort, Palm Beach Convention Center, The Stewart Center, Kocomošs Island Grill, Cheers, Clamsters, and with the "God Father" of soul himself "James Brown" for his Soul Music Festival in August, Georgia, just to name a few. Martina also had the enjoyment of hosting for the 2006 Sun Festival. Martina has an incredible stage presence. Her passion and love for music is seen every time she steps foot on stage. Her versatile voice captivates you and leaves you wanting more!

Outside of music Martina has starred in numerous commercials and Independent Films, such as Beware Of The Girl written and directed by Shari Verona and Produced by Tad Sharpe and Fighting For Faith written by Matthew Padon and Directed by Gary Davis. Martina also does Print and Promotional Modeling. Currently Martina is working on her original music, where she hopes to be able to express her life experiences through her music. Martina's goal is to continue her momšs legacy by touching others hearts and putting a smile on their face!
